1. Restart Phone

If the “My apps and games” section is missing or not working properly in the Play Store, you can try restarting your Android phone or tablet. Press and hold the Power button on your phone until you see a menu. Tap on Restart or Power off depending on the option available.

2. Look at a Different Place

The “My apps and games” section was at one time available under the three-bar icon in the Play Store. If you can’t find it over there, simply tap on the profile picture icon at the top-right corner in the Play Store. All the options present in the left sidebar have moved to this menu. Tap on “Manage apps & device.” You will see an overhauled screen from what was available in the earlier versions of the Play Store. You now have Play protect, updates, storage, the ability to share apps, and your ratings and reviews all on one screen in the Overview tab. If you want to manually update all apps, tap on the “Update all” button. Alternatively, if you want to view the available updates and manually update them one by one, tap on “See details” under the “Updates available” section. Similarly, you may think the Play Store Library option is missing, but it’s not. It’s just been renamed and relocated. Tap on Manage next to the Overview tab at the top. For the unaware, the Library section housed all the previously installed apps. To view all the previously installed apps, first tap on the Manage tab. You will see various filters at the top. By default, the Installed filter is selected, so you see all the installed apps. Tap on the Installed filter and select “Not installed” from the options to view the previously installed apps. You can also sort apps by name, most used, least size, recently updated, and size using the sort option. Check out similar interesting ways to use Google Play Store. In a nutshell, Google Play Store hasn’t removed the “My apps and games” section. It has been renamed (and relocated) to “Manage apps & devices.”

3. Clear Cache and Data

In case you get errors like “Problems found,” “Error checking for updates,” or “Download pending in Play Store” for your apps, you should clear the cache and data for Play Store. That will not uninstall any apps from your phone or remove their associated data. However, you will lose Play Store settings that can be set again later. Follow these steps to clear the cache and data for Play Store.

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Go to Apps or Apps & notifications and tap on Google Play Store. If you don’t see it, tap on “See all apps” followed by Google Play Store.
  3. Tap on “Storage & cache” to view the space used by Google Play Store and to clear its cache. Tap on “Clear cache” first. Restart your phone to see if the issue is fixed. If the issue continues, tap on “Clear data” in step 3. Restart your phone after that. Similarly, repeat the steps for Google Play Services and clear its cache and data.

4. Uninstall Google Play Store Updates

If it was a third-party app, I would have suggested uninstalling it. But since Play Store is a system app, you cannot uninstall it completely. However, you can remove its recent updates. That also helps to fix the Google Play Store not showing my apps issue. To do so, go to “Settings -> Apps -> Google Play Store” on your phone as you did in the above method. Tap on the three-dot icon at the top and select “Uninstall updates” from the menu.

5. Scan Apps with Play Protect

You should also try manually scanning apps using Play Protect. Often that also stops installed apps from appearing in Play Store. For that, open Play Store and go to “Manage apps & device” by tapping on the profile picture icon. Tap on the first option that says something similar to Play Protect. Hit the Scan button on the next screen.

6. Log in with Correct Google Account

If you are trying to check previously installed apps in the Play Store, you should be signed in with the correct Google account that was used to download those apps. To switch accounts in the Play Store, tap on the profile picture icon on the Play Store’s home screen. When the menu appears, tap on the small down arrow next to your name and choose the right account.

7. Update Google Play Store

Often the installed apps not showing in the Play Store could be due to a bug in the Play Store. To fix it, you need to update Play Store. Yes, you can update Play Store as well. For that, open Play Store and tap on the profile picture icon. Tap on “Settings -> About.” Scroll down and tap on the Play Store version once. If an update is available, the Play Store will be updated automatically. Alternatively, you can update the Play Store manually by installing its APK. Hopefully, the above solutions should resolve the Google Play Store my apps not showing issue. If the above solutions do not help, you should try other solutions like switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi, disable VPN, and set the correct date and time on your phone. While Play Store is your one-stop destination to download apps, you can install apps on Android without the Play Store too. A couple of Play Store alternatives are also available. Lastly, if you like downloading and exploring apps, know how to prevent overspending in the Play Store.
